Cites His Long Record of Leadership in Defending 2nd Amendment Rights

WACO, TX — The National Rifle Association (NRA) Political Victory Fund (PVF) has endorsed former U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) in the Republican primary in Texas’ 17th congressional district.

“During his time in Congress, Pete oversaw the passage of the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act in the U.S. House and was a leader in the fight against the anti-gun proposals of the Obama Administration,” said NRA PVF chairman Jason Ouimet. “He is a strong defender of our right to keep and bear arms and NRA-PVF is proud to endorse him. We urge NRA members and gun owners to vote for Pete Sessions in the March 1 Republican primary election.”

“I am proud to have earned the endorsement of the NRA, which represents millions of Americans,” said Sessions. “Every American has a constitutionally-protected right to bear arms. I have always defended gun rights and I always will. Gun control advocates are relentlessly trying to chip away at our constitutional rights and as the Congressman for TX-17 I will continue to do everything in my power to protect the 2nd Amendment.”
