Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND Endorses Pete Sessions for Congress

August 24, 2020

WACO — As a 27-year Freestone County Texas Farm Bureau Member and a 22-year Member of Congress, Pete Sessions holds the undisputed record of the Texan with the most legislation sponsored and passed off the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives — 189 different bills.

“And, if it’s one feature of my voting record over 22 years in Congress that I’m most proud of, it has to be my 100% voting record with the Texas Farm Bureau” said Pete when accepting the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND Board of Directors endorsement in his run to represent the 17th Congressional District of Texas, which includes Farm Bureau headquarters in Waco. “I’ve stood with the Texas Farm Bureau every single time and on every single vote ”, emphasized Sessions, “and if elected on November 3rd, I will, without compromise and without fail, continue to fight hard for farm and ranch families and maintain that perfect voting record of support.”

When asked to comment of AGFUND’s support for Pete, President Russell
Boening said “Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND is proud to endorse Pete Sessions. Pete is a longtime Farm Bureau member, and he understands the importance of agriculture. Pete has always fought hard for farm and ranch families. His 100 percent Texas Farm Bureau voting record proves his willingness to listen and act on our priorities. We know Pete Sessions will continue to be our champion when he is elected in the 17th Congressional District.”
