NOVEMBER 5 , 2008 - IN THE NEWS

Thank You

Thanks to supporters like you, we enjoyed an exciting victory in my re-election campaign. Despite the challenges faced by Republicans nationally and in Dallas County, my campaign received its highest percentage ever in the 32nd Congressional District. I owe that success to you and the thousands of voters who went to the polls to send me back to Washington as their representative. I am honored once again to receive the voters’ trust.

So you know, here are the final numbers of my re-election in the 32nd Congressional District of Texas:

Pete Sessions (REP) 116,165 57.24%
Eric Roberson (DEM) 82,375 40.29%
Alex Bischoff (LIB) 4,410 2.17%

Our nation will undergo a major shift in policy as the Obama administration assumes office. In the U.S. House of Representatives, we’ve already seen what that change looks like under the heavy-handed control of Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Her radical agenda expands the size and scope of government to the benefit of labor unions over small businesses. Consequently, my goal this Congress will be to rebuild the strength of the Republican Party and its agenda. I will do so in the constant service of voting my constituents’ best interests to protect America and further its prosperity.

Regardless of what the next two years bring from Democrat control of the White House and Congress, please know that I will continue to be a voice of conservatism in Congress and to deliver the same level of service to the district as my staff and I have done for the past twelve years. Throughout it all, I will always have you to thank for the privilege of serving our part of the state of Texas.

Thank you,
petesignature
